Diesel tanks are suitable for the storage of non-potable water (not intended for human consumption). Before your tank can be installed, a recognised risk assessment must take place and be maintained in order to ensure the product’s appropriateness.

A diesel tank must only be connected by a qualified person in accordance with building and environmental regulations. They must be conversant with all supplied instructions and the requirements of OFTEC.

It’s vital that the entire base area of all diesel tanks must be fully supported by a level, fire resistant base which is fully capable of sustaining the tank and its contents when fully loaded. Those who fail to comply may cause irreparable damage to their diesel tank and, therefore, premature product failure.

If you live in Cumbria and would like to discuss your own requirements for a diesel tank, you’re more than welcome to get in touch with the team at Eden Plastics today.
